Yardwork//Andy The DoorBum "split" 7"

Description
Both Yardwork and Andy The DoorBum hail from Charlotte, NC and have made a huge impact on the Carolinas and the southeast as a whole. Both bands are two totally different monsters but together they create a grand scope of sound that is sure to leave you wanting more.
Yardwork recently released their debut LP "Brotherer" through Lunchbox Records and Andy is working hard on his untitled LP to be released later this summer.
Andy's side is indie/folk goodness that brings to mind Plan-It X records roster but with a lot more musical chops (no offense). At times in his two tracks he brings to mind a young Tom Waits with his howling voice and off-kilter way of bringing about words. At other times you hear a young Leonard Cohen crooning but at all times it is undeniably Andy and no one else.
Yardwork is hard to pin down and the act of comparing one band to another doesn't really do the new band any justice and usually only comes out in small doses with the comparisons. If I must compare them, which I know they hate, I have to say I hear a little bit of American Football but only if AF spent less time crying over lost love and more time rocking out with posi anthems, overdriven bass and playing with two drummers.
I've heard them described as the loudest pop band.
Both bands are the perfect summer mix and will get stuck on your turntable for months to come. The record comes with a digital download card so that you can put it on your iPod and listen to it everywhere you go.
