The new wave of post-punk; Acne’s anxiety-ridden pop songs worship both noise and melody. The Charlotte, NC three piece self-released It’s Cool To Be Depressed in early 2018, debuting a tendency toward burying danceable melodies under blanket of sleepy distortion and introspective lyrics. On Superblasted, Acne’s Self Aware Records debut, the band explores a brighter, more upbeat sound. This sickly-sweet sonic assault seems like the manic episode following last year’s gloom, but does not lack a familiar negative outlook.

The album will be available on cassette and digital formats on April 5th, 2019. The cassette is limited to 100 copies in the first pressing, 50 on blue and 50 on red.
