Following up their debut collection album, "Something Forever" with another full-length.
Mineral Girls started as a bedroom folk trio in february of 2013. The band played extensively in and around NC for two years, coming into their sound in 2014, with the release of a few EPs and their debut full length.
Brett Green, singer/guitarist of Mineral Girls, had this to say about the new album: "The album is mostly centered around two ideas, finally moving on from a past relationship, into another, and how some baggage carries over. The album also deals with trying to accept the body you were born with, and offering your flaws as gifts."
This release brings to mind early Sebadoh but also has a certain Saddle Creek Records vibe that creeps into the songwriting of a lot of Charlotte, NC bands. Lo-fi indie with a punk pulse.
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Bo White (Yardwork, Patois Counselors), primarily in Brett's bedroom, where this all began.
